In a recent interview on the Heidi and Frank show, Haley announced that she would be performing with Jeff Goldblum on the Jimmy Kimmel show, August 13. According to the schedule, Jeff Goldblum will be a guest host that evening, so here’s hoping for a possible interview 🙏🏻
Ahead of her show at the Canyon in Agoura Hills, Haley’s interview with The Acorn gives some insight into her thought process heading into her next album
“Soon, Reinhart will take a rare two- to three-month break from touring to work on album No. 6.
“I want to focus on writing music,” she said.
“I’m going to places like Nashville. Of course, I have my peeps in LA. I want to get a whole new project together. I have a vision of what I want to create. It has orchestral vibes. A lot of artists put out EPs. I’ll do that, but I’m a true fan of full-length albums that have, potentially, a cool theme to it.”
Reinhart previewed a couple new songs on this tour that may make the album, “You Don’t Have to Worry” and “Danger”
“I’m super excited about ‘Danger,’” she said. “It has been really cool to hear the crowd’s robust response. They’re hooting and hollering. It’s leaning into the bluesier side of my projects. I think people want more of that from me.
“That’s a big part of who I am. It has a bit of an edge to it. It’s a sexy, bluesy, guttural kind of song. It’s going to help spearhead the next project that I do.”
Reinhart said she’s using the audiences’ reaction and the stage to mold the song before she hits the recording studio.
“I’m not used to that process,” she said. “I really dig it. I’m used to doing it the opposite. I’m usually rushed. I usually don’t get to test it out and tweak it and have the time to feel more comfortable with it. It feels like a very mature step for me in many different ways.”
In other Haley Reinhart news, On June 14th, Anderson Paak, formerly “Breezy Lovejoy” when he was Haley’s drummer during her stint with Interscope, quietly released “Why Lawd” an album collaboration with Knxwledge.
Haley is credited as co-writer and does background vocals on “Battlefield” on Why Lawd
“The Company She Keeps” was the name of one of Haley Reinhart’s Mother’s old band names
