Hear Haley Reinhart Voice Bill Murphy on “F Is for Family”

It was announced in late 2014 that Haley Reinhart was doing voice-over work, presumably for some sort of cartoon. Within a few months of the announcement, we learned the cartoon was indeed a brand new Netflix Original Animated Series produced by Bill Burr and Vince Vaughn, called “F Is for Family”. Haley voices a charcacter who is a young boy named Bill Murphy. A year later, the whole first season of the series was released December 18th, 2015 only on Netflix.

F is for Family features other voice-over stars and famous actors/comedians:

Since the show has been released it’s already drawn in a quickly growing fan base and has gotten many great reviews! Read some reviews below:

NY Times

Boston Globe

The Wrap

Washington Post

SF Chronicle

Haley did a Q&A under the #FisForFamilyAskHaley hashtag on Twitter the day the show came out, here are some noteworthy answers:

Q: Did it feel weird hearing your voice as a cartoon character at first?!

A: Everybody, myself included, were pretty shocked at how much I sounded like a lil boy haha..

Q: How long did it take to do voice overs for 6 episodes?

A: Got the bulk of it done pretty quickly & went back in months later – after the animation was done!

Q: Did you ever audition for another character before you got to voice Bill?

A: I actually auditioned for Charlie Brown.I believe that’s how they found me in the first place!

Q: Is it hard to stay in character/voice though out the episode?

A:  It was hard not to laugh after every take! Especially when I had to barf and stuff haha..

Q: Did you contribute any ideas to the show?

A: Well we got to do “wild lines,” where I could ad-lib a line here and there!

Bill Burr tweeted today that the show has not yet been renewed for a second season, but that they should be getting word soon.

New Haley Reinhart Song Featured In Hallmark Original Movie “Crown for Christmas”

Tis the season for new Haley Reinhart music!

You can now hear Haley’s newly released song “Santa, I Just Want You” in the opening credits of the new Hallmark Channel Original Movie  “Crown for Christmas”, which premiered on November 27th, 2015.

“Crown For Christmas” contains three original songs, specifically written for the film by director, Alex Zamm and his song-writing partner, Alex Geringas. Geringas, in addition to being a composer, is also a Grammy and multi-platinum award winning songwriter and producer for Kelly Clarkson, amongst many others. Geringas also just recently was nominated for an Emmy for his main title song in the Dreamworks TV animated series, “All Hail King Julien.”

Collectively known as A2, Alex Geringas and Alex Zamm have collaborated for the past two years on songs for other films directed by Zamm, such as, “A Royal Christmas” for Hallmark Channel, “Jingle All The Way 2,” and “The Little Rascals Save The Day.”  Their first EP of Christmas songs from their films debuts this month and is entitled, Holiday-O-Rama – Christmas Collection – Volume 1. Santa, I Just Want You is an up-tempo, retro-style song in the opening titles of the film and is sung by Haley Reinhart.”  via Hallmark.com

Ratings: Holiday Movies Lift Hallmark Channel to Best Week Ever, No. 1 Finish in Demo

“Audiences hungry for a little early holiday programming found — and stayed with — Hallmark Channel last week, as a big helping of original movies boosted the network to a No. 1 finish among cable networks in its target demo and to its largest-ever weekly audience. The five-night Thanksgiving Weekend Event on Hallmark Channel featured one original movie each night, with the top numbers coming for “A Christmas Detour” averaged a 0.67 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.778 million viewers overall. Among all scripted cable programs last week, it ranked behind only AMC’s “The Walking Dead” (13.98 million) and “Into the Badlands” (5.17 million).  Also faring well was “Crown for Christmas” on Friday (0.68 in 18-49, 4.29 million viewers overall). The largest audience for a Hallmark Channel original movie remains “Christmas Under Wraps,” which drew 5.8 million viewers around this time a year ago.” via Variety.com

Catch the next airing of “Crown for Christmas” on Monday, December 7th at 8pm EST on the Hallmark Channel.

Watch Haley Reinhart and Puddles Pity Party Sing “Mad World”

Haley Reinhart’s latest video with Postmodern Jukebox made it’s debut last night on the new PMJ website! Accompanied by Puddles Pity Party,  their cover of “Mad World” was released last month on Postmodern Jukebox’s new album “Top Hat on Fleek”, which you can buy on iTunes here.

PMJ mastermind Scott Bradlee had this to say about the pairing of Puddles and Haley:

“This remake came together quite quickly; Puddles stopped by unannounced, in typical Puddles fashion (he also surprised us at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago just recently!), so I decided to give Haley a call to see if she was around to stop by, perhaps while wearing a fun hat. This arrangement was inspired by the tradition of vaudeville variety acts; the idea of putting a heavily contrasted duo onstage together has been around for ages and still lives on today.  In this case, she’s a bubbly, extroverted performer, and he’s… a 7 foot tall sad clown. The contrast here couldn’t be any clearer, as Haley tries her best to shake Puddles out of his sad sack mood and embrace the existential whimsy of it all.   She may have even taught him a few new dance steps in the process.”
