Our favorite duo is returning to their favorite little intimate venue, the Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood, California on Friday August 29th 2014. Also joining Haley and Casey is Jackie Tohn, who was a top 24 finalist on American Idol Season 8.
Haley and Casey both have promoted this show on their social networking sites. When these two team up, it’s always magic! It sometimes make you wonder if they were meant to be a duo permanently! (I love them solo just as much, though).
So, if you are in or around the LA area, try not to miss this show! Haley and Casey played at the same venue last June along with Mark Ballas and Dylan Chambers and it was a packed house! It will be interesting to see how this show goes, now that Jackie Tohn is also going to be joining them.
They go on at 10pm! Tickets are $15 at the door, or you can purchase them online at Room 5’s website here!
Haley has been visiting back home with her family this past week or so. Haley’s mom Patti is celebrating her 60th birthday! Fans of the Reinhart’s band “Midnight”, plus family and friends gathered at the PS Pub for their annual luau where Midnight was playing.
To add to the fun, the family played a few songs together! Haley sang “I Hear You Knocking”, “Wasted Tears” (with some backup vocals from her mom and sister Angie), “Piece of My Heart”, “Son of a Preacher Man”, and even sang “Blurred Lines” with the band! And of course they sang Happy Birthday to Patti, in Beatles fashion. It was a treat for fans who were there to celebrate with the Reinhart family.
It is always nice to see Haley back home having fun with her family doing what they do best!
Haliens in attendance kindly provided us with some pictures and videos from the event. Enjoy!
Haley took the stage at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood California on Sunday August 3rd alongside Mark Ballas, Dylan Chambers and company. Haley played a 7 song set, featuring:
Wasted Tears
Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay
My Cake
I Hear You Knockin
Show Me Your Moves
Better
Helter Skelter
For those of you who couldn’t make it, check out this awesome playlist of videos from Haley’s set:
Haley recently has collaborated with producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist David Block. “The Human Experience” is David Block’s principal project as a live electronic composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer. Listeners experience a delicious symphonic blend of prismatic soundscapes and sultry beats.
“David is constantly pushing the boundaries of live electronic music. Playing, composing, and conducting his own electronic symphony live on stage, his performances are brimming and layered with human emotion, world exploration, and sacred sounds. Whether performing by himself, or with a live band, “The Human Experience” always delivers an emotionally charged show.” according to his biography on his website.
Haley and David recently debuted their new music together at a few shows in Colorado, South Carolina, and most recently, Los Angeles. The show in LA was back in July, and just recently a few videos from the event have surfaced on YouTube.
Check out some of Haley’s new material with David Block for The Human Experience! It’s a different sound, but very cool stuff!

David Block has expressed on his Facebook page that they will be in the studio, recording their new material so they could put it out there for all of us to buy soon. This is awesome news for us Haley fans! David seems to really love and appreciate Haley’s voice, and he has done nothing but talk so highly about her. Also, after “Show Me Your Moves” premiered, David was defending Haley against the hate she received for the song and music video. It’s nice to see that he has her back!
Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
“We don’t play music, music plays us” – David Block
Hooray! The “Show Me Your Moves” music video is finally here!
I wanted to find a way to show Haley how much all of her fans truly love the single and music video, and I thought to myself, make a giant congratulations card! Turns out that’s a lot easier said than done. But, I was up for the challenge anyways because I wanted to create something really special for Haley to receive just a few days after the video was released. I reached out to Haliens from all over, even Haley’s friends and family, and I was able to get over 80 different messages and pictures to put into this card.
The work was a whole lot more than I had originally thought out! I spent the week making multiple runs to Michael’s for different art supplies. I probably spent over 15 hours total working on this. But I couldn’t be more proud of what I was able to create!
I was able to give the card to Haley yesterday night, at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood at her show. At first, we opened the card up and Haley says, “What is it?!” (A little overwhelming, I am sure). I then pointed out messages from her parents, her sister, friends, fellow Idol family, and tons of fans from all over. Haley was shocked at how I managed to get all of these people to send in their messages and put it all together on one giant card. She said that she loved it so much and could not wait to read everything later, and possibly cry. Don’t cry Haley!
I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who contributed to the card, I couldn’t have made it as awesome without you. And a special thank you to the fellow Haliens who genuinely wanted to pitch in and help me offset the costs of everything it took to make it. I appreciate it so much.
Here’s a short video of me giving Haley the card, enjoy!
Check out this new song that Haley is featured on from the new “AMD” album!
The AMD Band is a two-piece eclectic rock group from Chicago, Illinois. They are street performers who seem to have a good following of fans, and are known as “Chicago’s best street performers”. You can find a few videos of them performing on YouTube. I’m not sure how this collaboration came around, but back in November of 2013 Haley was tagged in a picture on Instagram of her in the studio, the day she recorded the song for their album.

The song Haley is featured on is titled “Leading To One”. AMD Band just had their album release party at the House of Blues in Chicago on July 3rd, where they sold physical copies of the CD. But, it is now available for purchase on iTunes! They have added more songs to the album for iTunes.
The song has a psychedelic feel, although it is disappointing Haley doesn’t sing any actual lyrics on this song, she does more of a backtrack vocal towards the end. She still sounds really amazing regardless, and her voice is an absolute perfect fit for the song.

Haley Reinhart, Mark Ballas, Dylan Chambers & BC Jean will be playing a show together at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, Sunday August 3rd. We just recently got to witness Haley, Mark, and Dylan along with Casey Abrams put on a fantastic show at the Room 5 Lounge a few weeks back in June.
For unknown reasons, Casey isn’t going to be there performing this time around. Taking his place is Mark Ballas’ girlfriend, singer/songwriter BC Jean. The show is listed as a 4 hour set, from 8pm-12am! You can purchase tickets to the show online here.
If you’re thinking about attending, be sure to buy your tickets ASAP, because their last show at Room 5 ended up selling out!
Haley hasn’t performed at the Hotel Cafe since November of 2012, in which she performed solo, with guitarist John Notto.
If you want an idea of what this show may be like (minus Casey of course), here’s a video of Haley, Mark, Dylan, BC & Casey performing “Hit The Road Jack” a few weeks ago:
Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time!
Finally! This is what we have all been waiting to hear! We now have an official release date for Haley’s upcoming music video for her new single “Show Me Your Moves”! Fans who contributed to her Indiegogo campaign which made the music video possible received an E-mail today with a free download of the song!
Haley also verified that the music video AND iTunes release for the song is Wednesday, July 30th!
The song sounds amazing, funky, and totally Haleyfied. For those who didn’t donate to her campaign on Indiegogo, you will be able to buy the song on iTunes the same day the music video drops.
-Perk Update-
Haley had also mentioned in the E-mail that all of the hand written lyrics and signed Listen Up! CD’s have been mailed out, for those who donated to receive those perks. Also, Haley tells those who had chosen to receive the “Social Media Shout Out” perk to please send a comment and specify what your Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram name is, so that she can give a you a big ol’ thank you!
What a pleasant surprise to receive this afternoon. Start your countdown!
I had the pleasure of attending this sold out show at the Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood California, this past Wednesday, June 25th 2014. I’ve attended a couple of shows at this venue in the past, and let me say that it is ALWAYS a good time. It’s a small intimate place, which makes it that much better. It was a sold out show, making it a little crowded in there, leaving not many places for people to sit. Regardless, I think everyone enjoyed the music we got to endure for the night.
Dylan Chambers, Mark Ballas, Haley Reinhart & Casey Abrams performed a 2 hour set, from 8-10pm. Dylan Chambers took the stage first, and started out the show on the right foot! Then it was Haley’s turn. It was a surprise for Haley to see her main keyboardist Keith Phelps at the show, he was in town visiting and she had no idea he was coming. She asked him to help out for a few songs since he was there, which of course he did! Haley sang a few of her originals, and even spoiled us with some new covers like “Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay” and “Gee Baby, Ain’t I Good To You”. Her voice sounded absolutely incredible, I think it’s sounding the best we’ve ever heard! Mark Ballas then took the stage and rocked out, he did an awesome job showing off his musical talents, including shredding on the guitar! Casey was last to go on, he entertained the crowd with some covers and originals, and of course invited Haley back onto the stage to sing his song “Stuck In London” together. That lead to them giving us an awesome 1 minute preview of Haley’s new song for her upcoming music video “Show Me Your Moves” which I’ve previously posted here.
The 4 of them all have great chemistry performing together. The show was a lot of fun, and it was sad that it had come to an end… But wait! There’s more! Dylan, Mark, Haley & Casey decided to take the show to the streets! A crowd had formed around the 4 of them on the sidewalk right outside of the Room 5 Lounge, and they put on almost another hour’s worth of a show for us. We got to hear covers of some Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, and more! People in the crowd were filming, dancing, and singing along, making enough of an impact for the cars driving by to slow down and stop, to try and see exactly what the hell was causing all this ruckus on the sidewalk close to midnight on a weekday.
The night was a blast, it was truly a one of a kind show that I was lucky enough to see. From the show inside, to the show outside, they all performed their hearts out and gave all of us who were there some great memories. This might only be the start of many more shows to come from these 4, we shall see what the future holds!
There were many amazing videos filmed from this night by multiple people, if you have yet to see any of them, please, check them out! You won’t regret it!
