Back and better than ever!

Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Dylan Chambers put on another great show at the Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood last Wednesday night. The show was made possible thanks to Dylan, who went on first at 10pm and opened the show with an entertaining charming set.

Next on was Casey, who started his set with a few of his own songs. He even mashed up Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty to Me” with his song “Dry Spell”. After that, it didn’t take long for Haley to join him up on stage and sing with him for the rest of his set.

Haley creeped up on stage to play her “hand trumpet” for “Almost Like Being in Love”:

Casey then teased Haley for barging in on his set, telling her that now she has to stay and sing more songs with him. So of course she stayed and they went on to sing Casey’s song “Never Knew What Love Could do”, where Casey invited Haley to share a seat with him:

Next song up was “Stuck in London”, a song from Casey’s debut album which always gets a fantastic crowd reaction:

They also brought back a popular cover of theirs that they hadn’t done in awhile, “Sail”:

It was then Haley’s turn, and with her she had friend and fellow singer/songwriter Anders Grahn to play guitar and do backup vocals. Anders and Haley have written a few songs together now. They first met at a song camp in Santorini Greece, where they  wrote “Better”.

Haley started off her set with a brand new song called “Lover Girl”, that as she explains in the video, may or may not make the upcoming EP:

Next was “Better”, as stated earlier, Haley and Anders wrote this song together on the first day of their songwriting camp. It was a treat to watch it performed by the people who created it:

Haley said it’s tradition to do a new Beatle’s cover at every Room 5 show, so her and Anders gave us a beautiful rendition of “Don’t Let Me Down”:

The second new song she debuted for us that night was “Good or Bad” which may also make the EP as well:

Casey was then brought back up on stage to perform with Haley and Anders for the rest of the show, they started with a jazzy acoustic amazing version of “Night and Day”:

The show was almost over, but the crowd at this sold out show were in for a real treat. Haley gave a sensational acoustic performance of her highly popular “Creep” cover. Less jazzy this time around, but still the same singing arrangement. It was nothing short of amazing to hear live. Do yourself a favor and have a listen below:

Last but not least, to close out the show Haley and Casey sang another popular cover of theirs (and Postmodern Jukebox), an epic (and hilariously entertaining) performance of “All About That Bass”:

Yet another amazing sold out (well deserved) show by Dylan, Casey and Haley. They are all so talented and are the kindest most down to earth people, which doesn’t go unnoticed and is probably the reason their shows keep selling out.

I got to talk to Haley, and she said her EP is moving along quickly, and should be out this summer! There are lots more new songs we have yet to hear, and a few will be left for a surprise once the EP is out. I also asked about the possibility of her own tour for her EP, it’s definitely a possibility, stay tuned.

As for the Postmodern Jukebox tour coming up, Haley’s really excited about it and is so proud of what her and Casey have been able to do with them. Check to see if Haley’s coming to a city near you here, & buy tickets at pmjlive.com!

Haley Reinhart is Recording Her New EP!

Haley confirmed today on Twitter that she is finally starting the recording process for the songs that are going to be on her long awaited upcoming EP!

We’ve been hearing the words “EP” and “soon” for the last 2 years. It’s been a tough wait, but we can finally be excited knowing that Haley’s EP is indeed actually coming out, soon.

Haley has attended many song writing camps over the last few years and has written tons of new songs. She is choosing her favorites to record and we cannot wait to hear them! I spoke to Haley in October about how many songs she thinks the EP might have, and she said that she is hoping for at least 6 songs.

There are some expected special guests for the EP, Casey Abrams’ band mate and friend Jacob Scesney is there to record some instrumentals. He expressed his excitement to be at the legendary studio on Instagram:

Haley’s dad Harry Reinhart will be there recording some guitar tracks as well.

Let’s start making some guesses on what the title of the EP is going to be!

Haley Reinhart Covers “Habits” with Postmodern Jukebox

The video is finally here! Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox featured Haley Reinhart on their latest jazz rendition of current pop songs by taking on “Habits (Stay High)” by Tove Lo.

Check out Haley’s video:

Haley’s cover is available for purchase on iTunes (currently #4 on the Jazz charts, and rising!), featured on the latest Scott Bradlee and PMJ album “Selfies on Kodachrome”, which you can download here. Be sure to also check out Casey Abrams’ covers from the album as well, where he has two songs featured (“I’m Not the Only One” and “Stacy’s Mom”).

Scott Bradlee and PMJ’s YouTube videos tend to blow up, racking up thousands and even millions of views weekly. I think that we all have high hopes and expectations that Haley’s video will be very successful, and that she will gain many new fans from this experience as well.

Haley Makes Cameo In Casey Abrams’ New Postmodern Jukebox Video

Postmodern Jukebox released a new video today. It features none other than Casey Abrams himself! This is the second time Casey has filmed with PMJ. The video has already reached 37,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Casey and the talented musicians (Jacob Scesney on clarinet, Adam Kubota on bass, Chip Thomas on drums, and Scott Bradlee on the piano) covered “Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne, in vintage 1930’s jazz fashion.

Haley is seen in the video dancing, while sitting on the bar in the background having a bit of fun. Despite this being Casey’s video, it was hard not to notice Haley!

Earlier in December Haley filmed a video with Postmodern Jukebox as well. The song and release date are still unknown, but Scott Bradlee of PMJ himself tweeted out that they will be releasing the video sometime at the beginning of the new year.

Haley Reinhart to Star in New Original Netflix Animated Series in 2015!

But here’s the catch…she will be playing a little boy named Bill!

Haley broke the exciting news on her Instagram account this week:

“Beyond excited guys! I can finally share that I will be making my VoiceOver debut in the @netflix original animated series titled, “F Is For Family!!!” Produced by the amazing ‪#‎BillBurr‬ ‪#‎VinceVaughn‬ ‪#‎PeterBillingsley‬ & ‪#‎MichaelPrice‬ We’ve already finished recording season one & it will debut same time next year – 2015! I will be playing the little boy in the family, Bill! Huge thanks to everybody involved.. Thanks for welcoming me with open arms! ‪#‎FIsForFamily‬ ‪#‎Netflix‬ ‪#‎Gaumont ‬‪#‎VoiceOver‬ ‪#‎WrapParty

“F Is for Family” is slated to hit Netflix sometime in 2015, starting out with 6 episodes. Bill Burr (who you may recognize from Breaking Bad) is known for his edgy stand-up comedy, so expect the same from his up and coming new show. Some people may be surprised Haley is going to play a boy, but it is not unusual for a woman to voice a young boy for television. Many famous boy cartoon characters are voiced by women (Bart Simpson, Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, etc.) Rumor has it, Haley’s character Bill will even sing from time to time, and more than likely is going to have a potty mouth!

Netflix said, “No-holds-barred, do whatever you want to do. It’s a cartoon about a family that looks like the normal Rockwell painting but it’s the real deal.” “Needless to say, the F word flies around quite a bit.” Those who are working on the show are having a lot of fun creating it, as you could imagine, with Netflix giving them the go-ahead to do whatever they want. One of the writers David Richardson said it’s the most fun he’s had in a writer’s room in 10 years. Nothing but laughs for the writers every single day.

This is great to hear. This is an awesome new role for Haley to pick up! Her resume is endless and continues to grow, and her talent is undeniable!

We cannot wait to watch F Is for Family, and see/hear Haley’s new cartoon character!

Haley Reinhart Collaboration with Postmodern Jukebox

Haley Reinhart is collaborating with Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox! They are known for taking current hit pop songs and turning them into older sounding jazz classics. They’ve taken songs such as Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”, and also Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”, and turned them into entirely different sounding songs (in a very, very good way).

Their YouTube channel has been a huge success, they have almost 900,000 subscribers, and have millions of views on their videos. Their most popular video alone has over 11,000,000 views.

This is an awesome opportunity for Haley to show off her skills, and also just to have a little fun, hopefully gaining some new fans in the process! We don’t know what song Haley chose to perform with them yet, but we should find out soon! They filmed the video Saturday, December 6th.

Here’s our only sneak peek so far:

Be on the look out for Haley’s video coming soon. Until then, take a look at Casey Abram’s video he did with Scott and Postmodern Jukebox, putting a jazz spin on Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One”.

Haley Reinhart University of New Orleans Interview

While down in New Orleans for the big House of Blues show that took place Thursday night with Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Haley Reinhart sat down for an hour-long admirable, and educating interview by none other than Irvin Mayfield himself at the University of New Orleans.

Irvin starts off with giving what appears to be a college class a brief summary about Haley and how her musical roots sprouted from her family in Chicago, and lists many of her big musical accomplishments over the years. For a good portion of the interview, Haley dishes out all of the details about what auditioning for American Idol is really like, on and off camera. You’ll definitely learn things you didn’t know about the show by watching this interview. Also, you’ll definitely learn things you didn’t know about Haley by watching this interview as well.

Irvin asks many questions about her life before, during, and after American Idol. Also what making the transition to Los Angeles, and pursuing her dreams has been like, the good and the bad!

This is a wonderful interview to watch. Haley’s humble, honest self, and her intelligence and insight on her career really make you respect her even more for the true artist and human being that she is. This is an interview that you do not want to miss. It’s a bit long, but well worth the watch!

Haley closed out the show featuring Dylan Chambers and Mark Ballas last Tuesday night at the Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood California. It was an awesome night, filled with great music and lots of talent. And I mean LOTS of talent considering half of the Dancing with the Stars cast seemed to be there to support their fellow cast mate Mark Ballas. Celebrities in attendance included Mark’s parents, Shirley and Corky Ballas. Also, Sadie and Korie Robertson, and Chrys Howard from the hit A&E TV show “Duck Dynasty”. Other dancers including Derek Hough, Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, Allison Holker, plus more were also there! Janel Parrish (actress from the popular TV show “Pretty Little Liars”) and Bethany Mota (Famous YouTube Video Blogger) who are both also on this season of Dancing with the Stars were in attendance as well.

Dylan Chambers opened the show with his own catchy originals, while showing off his guitar skills, and with memorable Prince and Amy Winehouse covers. Mark Ballas took the stage next, playing many songs off his recently released EP “Kicking Clouds”. He also gave an amazing performance of his song “She”, which he dedicated to his grandmother who had passed away last year. Haley closed the show with quite the memorable set, with guests Albert “Beatalks” Marzano on drums, Clare Reynolds and Casey Abrams on a few songs from the night.

You don’t want to miss the debut of Haley’s new song “Knock Me Out” accompanied by Clare Reynolds on the piano and backup vocals. Clare is a singer/songwriter who wrote this new song with Haley. She also co-wrote “Love is Worth Fighting For” as well, which Haley debuted a few months back at Room 5.

Also a first, Haley and Casey’s fun new cover which seems to be a fan favorite was Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”.

Another new cover was Eric Hassle’s “Pathetic”, which truly showcases Haley’s vocal abilities. This is a must see!

“@HaleyReinhart so stunning, gorgeous, and a voice of rich Velvet outstanding show tonight, and what a “Cake” UR lovely :)”
